This quilt is a classic design with a twist and I've created a pattern so that you can make it too! Alternatively, if you love the quilt and have a quilt maker in your life who will make it for you, this pattern with complete instructions will make it easy to do.
I've called this quilt Sedona Sunset because the palette I selected is inspired by the rich colours in the rocks of Sedona as the sun is setting - warm yellows, oranges, reds and purples. I've written the pattern myself and it contains clear, step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow.
The design is a "disappearing nine-patch" with a bit of a twist. The colours have been arranged in order to create an asymmetric design with the purple and red blocks. In following the pattern you may of course arrange your colours as I have, or choose your own design.
The quilt finishes at 57" x 76", so it is about the size of the top of a queen bed. It is perfect as a throw in the living room or as a bedroom accent quilt that gets pulled up on extra cold nights.
