This quilt is one that I completed in December and I'm very pleased with it. I used my Basically Bauhaus pattern, one of my K&C fabric bundles, and a white quilter's linen by Robert Kaufman for the background and binding. New plan for final month of sales!
December flew by and it is already 2025, the year I turn 75!!!! As we enter the last month in which in-studio shopping will be available, I'm once again changing the plan for sales. I've found that sale days have been busier than I'd like and they give me insufficient time to work with you on your projects. SO...
Sale prices in January will be available for the complete month and will be available for anyone booking a visit to the studio. The sale prices will also be in effect on my website for those items which are sold online.
Here's what's on sale for January:
Pre-cut meter cuts remaining from shows are an additional 30% off the discounted price, which was 20% discount.
All fabric on the bolt except AGF solids are 40% off. This includes prints, tonals, Japanese wovens, Kimono silks and Essex linens.
Threads and notions are 40% off.
In-stock kits are 40% off (excludes custom kits).
Bundles are 20% off.
So this is it; last call for your shopping visits! It is hard in some ways for me to make this shift, but at the same time I'm looking forward to being less structured in my schedule.

creating quarter-circle blocks - fabric conserving technique
Some of you have asked me to go over, once again, the method I use to create blocks with inset quarter circles without wasting a bunch of fabric. The technique I use allows me to preserve the structural integrity of a complete quarter circle, and to do so without "wasting" the fabric piece from which I've cut the quarter circle.
This technique is available for download in the useful techniques section of my website. I hope you find it intelligible!
