I think it is time for another sale and this time it will be all notions 25% off, including threads, rulers, needles, and more… AND clearance batiks at $8/M… AND regular batiks at 25% off. I’m happy help you electronically if you are not able to book a visit in person.
You may book a visit on my website for you and up to three friends. Masks are requested.
Sale is on from now until October 31.
And I have some interesting photos to share with you that have come from customers who’ve been doing creative things with their time.
Gail Newell completed this quilt and it was a winner in a recently held online exhibit in Richmond. She used a free form curved piecing technique to make the moon in her wall hanging… here the link to the exhibit to see her award winning quilt…
The applique flowers were enough work that Gail thinks she may never do that again!
This quilt was recently completed by Laura Gates. I love that when Laura makes a quilt she often starts with a pattern but then makes it her own.
In this case Laura started with my One House, Two House… pattern which you can see in my Etsy shop:
But as you can see she created an even more interesting design with her variations in size and the addition of lots more colour. So inspiring!
Maureen Kennedy made a larger version of my quilt, Yama to Kawa, which is pictured to the left. She told me that as she was making it, she found that in one or two places the half-rectangle triangle points didn’t match to her satisfaction.
So Maureen added some embroidery to cover the offending spots. She sent a photo or two which are shown below.
Well that’s it for now. I will leave you with the news that I have a new line of Robert Kaufman Essex linen and cottons arriving soon so stay tuned for some great photos as soon as they arrive.
In the meantime, please be well and, if you are ready for a shopping trip, make an appointment and come for a visit!
